 Kudumbasree

Kudumbashree is a grassroots movement that has made a significant contribution to the social empowerment and poverty eradication of women in Kerala. Its main objective is to increase women's economic self-sufficiency and social participation.

1. Beginning

Kudumbashree is a state poverty alleviation mission launched by the Government of Kerala on May 17, 1998. This project operates under the leadership of local self-government institutions and with public participation.
